Bob Walton

Bob is a true Texan, born and raised on the gulf coast near Houston. After high school graduation, he enlisted in the US Navy (1969 – 1973) serving aboard the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise during the Vietnam War.

Upon completion of his military service, Bob returned to Texas where his career in the steel industry started. His steel story began as a cost accountant for Southwestern Pipe, a pipe and tube mill in Houston. After 18 months of accounting, he spent 7 years on an inside sales desk, followed by 22 years as an outside salesperson and tubing product manager. In all, he spent 31 years at Southwestern Pipe.

Bob joined Ryan McMahon as a co-owner of RM Components in 2008 covering the states of Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Mississippi. He currently manages key accounts in the Houston and Dallas areas, as well as accounting and purchasing duties for RM Components.

Bob has been married to his wife Patty for 35 years. They have three grown children and one grandchild. Outside of work he enjoys spending time on the lake with his family, driving his restored classic 1957 Chevy pickup, and playing competitive racquetball.
